CHÂTEAU PESQUIÉ TERRASSES 2008 - Red
$13.95 – LCBO # 652313

Tasting Note:
This Grenache blend has a deep, youthful ruby colour. Strong nose leads to delicious
ripe fruit aromas of black reaspberry, black cherry, plum and pomegranate. A
medium-bodied red with a modern style, it would match beautifully with ginger
beef or some smoked cheddar.

DOMAINE DE LA GRANGE VIEILLES VIGNES
MUSCADET SÈVRE & MAINE 2008 - White
$13.95 – LCBO # 682625

Tasting Note:
Evokes the image of a stream gurgling through the Loire Valley en route to
the Atlantic. Aromas of wet stones, seashells, salt water taffy and yellow
plum. On the palate the wine is finely balanced, dry and quite tangy, with
bright acidity leading to a tart, mineral-infused finish. Steamed clams or
mussels anyone?

CHÂTEAU LANBERSAC 2005 - Red
$13.95 – LCBO # 177006

Tasting Note:
Puisseguin Saint-Émilion, one of the tiny satellites to the northeast
of Saint-Émilion, is hilly terrain, with the highest elevation in the region
As in the larger appellation, Merlot is the principal grape used here due
to the clay and limestone soil. This well-made red from the outstanding
2005 vintage is medium bodied and nicely balanced; notes of smoke and
tar accent a solid core of berry fruit. It's a bargain at this price.
